Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 KJV

Bless be the name of the Lord God. It is always a blessing just to know that you have all the help you need through the Lord Jesus. Live in expectation with the Lord no matter what it look like. Always press on! Jesus is the way. He is the truth and He is the life. Let us now feast on scripture for this month through the power of the Lord God.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:7-8 NKJV

What a Mighty God we serve! This particular psalm above is ascribed to David as the writer. This psalm in general is talking about the goodness of the Lord God to His faithful. The psalmist overall is giving thanks to His Awesome God among all. He makes praises to his Lord God because he knows that he serves a good God and a God who is there for His people. David is confident in his God and in his faith that God will be there for him no matter what the situation may be.

This is a New Year that will bring on different situations. But in spite of the new challenges that will come in this New Year, we must be like David. David knew that he was going to face some new challenges but he had confidence that the Lord God will continue to bless him even in the midst of troubles. If He did it before, He will do it again. God will fulfill the purpose that He has for you and that He has for me. He will never leave us or forsake us. The Lord God’s mercy (love) endures forever. The Lord will take care of us. The Lord God acts on behalf of His people. So in this New Year, we must continue to bless the Lord at all times. We will face some new situations but the Lord God will preserve us. He will revive us. He will bring us through as always. So let the world know that you serve an Awesome God.

Be blessed!
